Having been initially announced over a month ago, Orbx has now released their London City Airport for X-Plane 11. Located in the heart of London itself this commercial airport has a single 4,900 ft runway useable only by aircraft certified for steep approaches. Furthermore, pilots must be trained and certified to fly into EGLC.

London City is Orbx’s first attempt at a full PBR airport and it shows in the screenshots. On top of the PBR Orbx have also added what they call “Dynamic Fire and Rescue Response” vehicles which will rush to the location of your aircraft if an emergency is declared on approach. It is recommended for best performance to use London City Airport in conjunction with TrueEarth GB South.

This scenery can be purchased at the Orbx website for $22.89 USD.

Features:

  • Full PBR representation of London City Airport and surroundings.
  • HD textures throughout
