NewSceneryStudio, also known as NSS have announced their next airport. It’s a major airport in New Zealand. The second largest behind Auckland International Airport, and the largest airport in the South Island. If you have not guessed it yet, it’s Christchurch International Airport – NZCH. The developer of NewSceneryStudio remembered that I suggested for him to do Christchurch, as we in the community do need more New Zealand airports. He emailed me a couple days ago showing high interest in creating the airport. We discussed, and he has officially decided that Christchurch is his next airport. Christchurch is an airport i’m looking forward to using, because it’s my hometown and it is where I am training. Christchurch will offer sim users to fly both Jets and general aviation aircraft aircraft. Situated opposite the terminal, is an “aero club” where all the general aviation aircraft aircraft park. Christchurch airport has 3 runways, 2 of which are perpendicular (runway 02/20 and runway 11/29). The third runway at the airport is a grass runway, commonly referred to as grass 02/20 and is used for all general aviation aircraft. If you are interested what flights come in and out of Christchurch, refer to the table below.
